It is completely understandable why Jaguar would want to remake the E-Type every time it builds a two-seater sports car (at least to some degree...), because it is without a doubt, to this day, their most renowned model, and has received praise from everybody, including Enzo Ferrari, and still turns heads today.
However, up until the recent launch of the F-Type they never even got close to “reviving the spirit” in any way. As the Edmunds video below says, it took them 52 years to finally be able to make a car about which they can state with certainty that it is linked to the beloved classic.
